Builder Profile

Kelly Moore is the founder and President of Green Spirit Construction, LLC.

Kelly was raised in the mountains outside of Boulder, Colorado with an appreciation for our natural world. The Moore Family has been in the construction industry for generations. Kelly’s career in construction started over 30 years ago working for his Father building custom and log homes in Steamboat Springs while attending high school and college. After earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management from Colorado State University Kelly moved to San Diego where he worked for seven years in the production home industry.

Following his time in California Kelly and his family relocated to Florida. Highlights of his experiences in Florida include the operation of an Arthur Rutenberg Franchise in Naples where he received Rutenburg’s Franchise of the Year Award. Kelly moved to Saint Augustine in 1999 and has since worked with several local custom home builders, including Benchmark Homes and The Vintage Group.

One of the more interesting and rewarding experiences for Kelly was as Director of Construction for Heavenly Mountain Resort. Heavenly Mountain was a resort being constructed in the mountains of Western North Carolina that utilized ancient Vedic Design principals and incorporated many “natural” ideas and products into the construction of the homes and Meditation Halls.

“The opportunity to be involved in a project as unique as Heavenly Mountain Resort provided me with an improved insight into alternate construction methods and a greater respect for the innovation that is required to successfully create a “natural” home using a blend of new technology and age proven methods.”

Over the years Kelly has had experience in all aspects of construction; planning, design, specification selection, hands-on experience in many trades, supervision, and quality control. In addition to work experience and construction knowledge, Kelly has held a Contractor’s License in four states; Florida, California, North and South Carolina. Kelly’s practical know-how, combined with his executive management experience enables Green Spirit Construction to provide a superior experience to his clients. Currently Kelly is pursuing certification as a LEEDS Accredited Professional.
