We provide the traditional approach to home building. We can help you design and cost engineer your plans, pull the building permit, and construct your home using local quality subcontractors and suppliers.
We encourage considering any “Building Green” options that may be available for your home. This service can range from selecting just one energy efficient item for the home all the way to the entire project being submitted to and approved by one several nationally recognized “Green” organizations.
Green Spirit Construction is a member of the both the US Green Building Council, which administers the widely accepted LEEDS “Building Green” program and the National Association of Home Builders which administers the Model Green Home Guidelines. These are just several of the programs available to builders and homeowners.
In addition to the traditional method of new home construction, we also proudly offer a very popular alternate method; construction management. This is where, you, the homeowner, have a much more active role in the design and construction of your home.
You obtain the building permit and contract with the suppliers and vendors. Green Spirit Construction provides you with construction expertise; cost engineering, bidding, scheduling, and quality control. The primary advantage of this method is that you recognize savings in builder’s fees over the traditional method. Keep in mind that it also requires an additional commitment on your part in time and effort but the satisfaction of the active role can be worth it.
We gladly consider all remodels and renovations, regardless of size. As with the construction of new homes, remodels and renovations can be built using the traditional method or the construction management method, or built “Green” or any combination of the three. Unlike large builders, Green Spirit Construction is small enough to provide the personal touch and security that is required for construction in your existing home.
Green Spirit Construction has the ability to offer many additional services which may be appropriate for some homeowners, architects, lenders, or even other builders. These services include the review of building plans and project scope, cost estimates and quantity take-offs, and project budgets. We also have the ability to provide independent third party Quality Control inspections.
